This policy applies to everything submitted, listed, published or sent through PressWiser: articles, publication listings, messages and attachments. It is part of the Terms of Service.
1. The principle
Coverage bought through PressWiser has to be something a reader would be glad to find. Placements must be honest, useful, clearly sourced and lawful, and publishers keep the final say over what appears on their site.
2. Prohibited content
- Anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful or that infringes someone's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.
- Adult content, gambling, weapons, illegal drugs, and unregulated financial, medical or health claims, unless a publisher has expressly agreed to run it and it is lawful in the places it will be read.
- Content designed to deceive: fake reviews, fabricated quotes or statistics, impersonation, undisclosed sponsored content where disclosure is required, or misleading claims about products or people.
- Malware, phishing, or links to sites that distribute them.
3. Links and search practices
- Do not use placements for link schemes: keyword-stuffed or exact-match anchor text patterns, hidden links, link farms, or redirects that disguise the destination.
- Links must be relevant to the article and useful to a reader. A small number of links is expected; promotional language and sales copy are not.
- Do not ask a publisher to publish content that you know violates search-engine guidelines.
Each submission is screened automatically for structure, tone, link and anchor policy and visual compliance. The screening is advisory: it helps publishers decide, but it is not a guarantee that content is acceptable and it does not replace the publisher's judgement.
4. Misusing the platform
- Do not access another organization's data, probe or test the service for weaknesses without permission, or interfere with its operation (see Information Security for how to report a vulnerability).
- Do not scrape, resell or bulk-copy the catalog, or create accounts to avoid a suspension.
- Do not attempt to avoid or manipulate fees, credits, holds or payouts, or submit fraudulent payments.
- Do not use messages to harass, spam or solicit outside the service.
5. Enforcement
Publishers can decline anything. We may remove content, release credits for placements that did not run, delist a publication, withhold payouts, suspend or end an account, and report unlawful activity to the authorities. We will usually tell you why. Repeated or serious breaches can lead to immediate termination.
6. Reporting a concern
Report content that breaks this policy, including copyright infringement, to legal@presswiser.com.
